1. Acceptance of Terms

By accessing and using Veri.im ("the Service"), you accept and agree to be bound by the terms and provision of this agreement. If you do not agree to these Terms of Service, please do not use the Service.

2. Description of Service

Veri.im provides URL safety checking and threat inspection services through a web dashboard and browser extensions. The Service is designed as an early warning system to help users identify potential threats before or while visiting websites.

The Service uses:

  • Threat intelligence databases to identify known malicious URLs
  • AI-powered content inspections to identify phishing, scams, and other threats
  • Real-time inspections of web page content when requested by users

Important Notice: AI analysis may occasionally produce inaccurate results (hallucinations). The Service provides risk assessments as guidance only. Users should exercise their own judgment and not rely solely on our analysis when making security decisions. Veri.im is a supplementary tool, not a replacement for safe browsing practices.

3. User Accounts

To use certain features of the Service, you must register for an account. You agree to:

  • Provide accurate, current, and complete information
  • Maintain and promptly update your account information
  • Maintain the security of your password and API keys
  • Accept responsibility for all activities under your account
  • Notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account

4. Usage Limits

Service usage is subject to rate limits based on your subscription tier. Current limits are:

  • Free Tier: 10 URL checks and 3 AI analyses per day
  • Plus Tier: 500 URL checks and 50 AI analyses per day
  • Pro Tier: 2,000 URL checks and 200 AI analyses per day
  • Team Tier: 10,000 URL checks and 1,000 AI analyses per day

Note: Rate limits may be adjusted in the future to ensure service quality and fair usage. We will provide advance notice of any changes to existing subscribers. You may cancel your subscription at any time if you do not agree with new limits.

5. Acceptable Use

You agree NOT to:

  • Use the Service for any illegal purpose or in violation of any laws
  • Attempt to bypass rate limits or abuse the API
  • Share your API key with others or use another user's API key
  • Resell or redistribute the Service without permission
  • Reverse engineer or attempt to extract source code
  • Use automated systems to abuse the Service

6. Disclaimer of Warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND.

Early Warning System: Veri.im is designed as an early warning tool to assist users in identifying potential threats. While we strive to provide accurate threat inspections, we cannot guarantee 100% accuracy. AI-powered analysis may occasionally produce false positives or false negatives (hallucinations).

Users should exercise their own judgment when visiting websites and not rely solely on Veri.im's analysis. Veri.im is not liable for any damages resulting from reliance on our threat assessments or from missed inspections. The Service is a supplementary security tool, not a comprehensive security solution.

7. Limitation of Liability

IN NO EVENT SHALL VERI BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, LOSS OF PROFITS, DATA, USE, OR OTHER INTANGIBLE LOSSES, RESULTING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE.

8. Payment Terms

For paid subscriptions:

  • Billing is recurring monthly or annually based on your chosen plan
  • Payments are processed securely through Stripe
  • You can cancel your subscription at any time - no long-term commitment required
  • Cancellations take effect at the end of your billing period - you retain full access until then
  • Refunds are provided on a case-by-case basis within 14 days of initial purchase
  • We reserve the right to change pricing with 30 days advance notice to existing subscribers

9. Termination

We may terminate or suspend your account immediately, without prior notice or liability, for any reason, including without limitation if you breach the Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service will immediately cease.

10. Changes to Terms

We reserve the right to modify or replace these Terms at any time. We will provide notice of any material changes by posting the new Terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after such changes constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.
